Once your Civil Air Patrol membership is approved, you will automatically receive a welcoming email from CAP National Headquarters with instructions about your next steps.

Cadets should carefully read the New Cadet Guide. The link is included in the welcoming email.

Both new adult members and cadets should:

• Register in eServices, the entry point to many resources

• Start your online training:

  • Adult Members: Level I - Onboarding

  • Cadet Members: Cadet Welcome Course

• Get into uniform

• Become active in squadron meetings and activities

At the squadron, you will be guided through these important steps that set the foundation for your journey in the next year or two. Look to the experienced mentors and staff members, such as the Cadet Leadership Officer and the Professional Development Officer.
